I have a Big Cheese clone the illustrious and awesome stanimal built and I've become quite smitten by it. I've been reading up on them and keep seeing references to it being based on a vintage circuit, but I can't suss out what circuit that is. Anyone know?

Oversimplified a bit but yea :thumb: Found the schematic on GGG.
The tone control & rotary are what really alter the sound

Big Cheese is cool isnt it
Yeah its a modified silicon fuzz face topology

The key to the sound is also in the high gain transistors. BC549C preferred.
