Been looking for one obviously because the original goes for like 400. How is the Wren and Cuff clone? Heard good things.

I really dig The Box of War. There are some demos i made with guitar, baritone, and bass VI in my demo thread. I also put it up against my tall font. Very nicely textured pedal.

Wow, just watched these. It sounds pretty awesome at most the different settings. Is that accurate would you say? Seems pretty versatile.

It's a pretty weird flavor, for sure.

Indeed, it sounds really great across the spectrum, with very rich harmonic content in the highs and lows. I like the Box of War so much I've stopped looking for the real thing....which is what I would usually rather have. I don't think you can go wrong with it, but if you check effectsdatabase.com you can find a list of most clones of the civil war.

It's cool we're at a place where most of the clones/"inspired" circuits typically have a lot more usable range of tones and often sound better than the originals.

i had an og civil war muff. i hate that i had to sell it. for way too cheap too. i want that sound again. that pedal was killer. i've been curious how the box of war stacks up to a real one. or if there's a closer clone out there. tons of tall font clones, but you don't see that many civil war ones.

Obviously it's all taste but I think the Civil War sounds so much better than the tall font.

I don't suppose anyone's had a chance of comparing the Mojo Hand Colossus to one/more of the other available civil war style muff clones?

I own two civil wars, and tried the colossus, and it was Damned good.

I also like the sound of the civil war a bit better than the tall font. Though they both are a great sound. My civil war with an OCD in front of it was such a killer tone. I want it back.

Also love the Box of War. Had it once, flipped it and regretted it, so I got another. Still have it, still love. It's so damn thick sounding. Ugh.

I flipped my Box'O'War. It was good, but fwiw, I use a pharaoh now.
