I'm pretty sure it's the same circuit, just different enclosures.
Also, pretty sure snip's got one.

I thought black was v1, silver v2/transitional, and then came the TFL2?

Yeah, that's the order, but I thought it was the same circuit. I could be wrong, don't know for certain.

For once actually something I sort of know about!
Yes, I have one of the black models, iirc that is v1. I like it. Its been pretty helpful as my sound has gotten more and more "post-punk" but that's not all it can do. It's suuuuuuuper flexible. You can get a choppy Cobain-ey kind of sound, your classic airplane wooshies, or you can set the feedback and speed down for more of a textural sort of ambiance. The only weird thing about it is the footswitch, which can be a little awkward if you don't stomp on it right, but mine is still within totally usable capabilities.
Edit: here's the only demo I have that I used it. It's not great quality but you can hear it at least from 1:00-1:45.
Sorry I'm trying to do this on a phone that doesn't want to cooperate.
