I was thinking about feedback loopers

How hard would it be to build a feedback loop pedal that has a blend control? Like maybe build it in a wha enclosure and still have a knob on the side for feedback amount (like most currently do) but then have the dry signal still pass through also and have the blend controlled by the wha so you can lower the amount of insanity coming through to play over it. Maybe even full wet at toe and full dry at heel so you could fade it in and out?
I dunno, was thinking on the train ride home the other day and sounded like fun.

That sounds really fucking sweet.

The old Barge Concepts VFBs had this (not in a wah) if I remember correctly. It's too bad they're not around anymore.

Is there a difference between a feedback looper and an oscillator?

Yes and no, while feedback loops oscillate and can be used as sound sources they aren't what people are usually referring to when they talk about oscillators.
Usually an oscillator is an electronic circuit that generates an electronic wave that can then be manipulated by, or used to manipulate, other electronic devices. On phasor/flanger/chorus/vibe/tremolo pedals what typically controls the sweep/pitch/volume is a "low frequency oscillator."
With feedback loops what happens is an electronic signal is fed back to itself. So, in a sense the signal is oscillating, but unless you put something in the signal path (i.e. other pedals) you're probably not going to get much of anything.

feedback loop
oscillator
how to tell diff feedback looping sans oscillator by tuffteef v1.0
and yeah you could
it would be pretty easy

I miss having my ps5 cuz pitch shifters in fb loops are doooooooope. Especially after a delau.

I believe Morley do/did a unit that does this. it's called a ''blender'' or something.

Damn, everything but the feedback part and of course they're discontinued. May have to keep my eye out for one and just put a feedback loop in the loop.

@tuff
EQs in feedback loops are my fave. DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEE
You could just get one of the resident solder monkeys to build you one.
Didn't OHNOHO do some?

Pitchshift>dirt>delay is the best. I love my whammy-wah in a flooper. Adding a blend is genius!
