loved the threshing floor, and I'm not usually down with bands that are about god (that don't have Al Cisneros in them).

So intense. My buddy was really into 16 horsepower back in the day. I didn't ever really give them much of a listen, but this is making me wonder what I missed.

Saw them play at Riot Fest last year. Don't mean to speak ill, but not my cup of tea at all.

16 Horsepower is awesome and I might be starting to like wovenhand even better. It did me a while to get over the religious aspect but I finally realized it was close-minded to rule them out for that.
This is my jam right here

That was totally my favorite 16HP song!
I have to check out Wovenhand... I think I gave the first EP or album a listen, but then never followed up...

i love woven hand. saw them a year or two ago here in portland and it was a great live show as well, although the crowd was mostly people i wouldn't mind never seeing again. the christian shit gets a little thick for me at times, but i tolerate it cause the band is amazing and it's not like that's all he has going on.

it's definitely coming from that perspective of the more obscure, historical myth and legend view of jebus that Om also mines so I don't mind it, I find that stuff interesting.

I really like the sounds, I don't care for the message... but I think the sounds surpass it so cool

I just justify it by remembering that it was released on Deathwish Inc.
