Wall-of-sound post-rock assault - NOW WITH 100% NEW EP

Post by DarkAxel »

nothing but guitars and bass. Lot's of behind-the-bridge playing for droning layers, quite a lot of Secret Destroyer usage :) Would be much better with a live drummer in an actual band settings, because then, the drums coudl be much more organic, now they are just programmed

drown in sound, boys

edit:

The drums are great, too.

I must say I will probably tweak the drum sound a bit, because i'm simply not really happy with the kick sound... still - thanks for the kind words :)

This is awesome. Makes me think of Tunnel Blanket a good bit, which is definitely a good thing.

I actually like your drum programming a lot. Agree with tweaking the kick a bit, however. It could stand more thud and less click imo.

But yeah, I love the track. Excellent work!

Co-sign the idea that a real drummer would play it a lot more organically.

On the other hand, this is pretty tasty stuff. Reminds me of porcupine tree.
good deals are here.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! And D.O.S - nice guess, Porcupine Tree is one of my main influences...

Bump for sheer sonic excellence.

Peeps should get on this. No joke.

Thanks! On bass? that was my Digitech PDS 20/20 doing some flanging into my Elements :) loved the flanger, but I felt I needed to move on, so I traded it for the Tremolessence...

both pedals have been used during the recording of this

i'd be more than happy to discuss any sounds on the EP since that's a huge passion of mine obviously :)

This is fantastic stuff! Kind of like a harder, more angular Paik. Love it.
