Hey, Ben I just bought a used Secret Destroyer, but I am wondering if it's an official thing or a modded kit built... There are no markings inside the enclosure, the board just says TGD v2.1 and it's a standard TGD layout with a sticker, not one of those fancy etched ones. Anyway... this one sounds MUCH wilder than my old TGD I used to have back when... It's just SICK

my question is... is there like a "neutral" secret Gain position that would change this into a regular TGD? Because with the secret gain on max, the sound pretty much cuts out (which makes sense if it replaces a resistor and creates too much resistance, right?).

also - at some settings, there's quite a lot of hum. Now I realize that I use a Jazzmaster, but this sounds like the kind of hum when there's no ground connection, because it's MAINLY present with the guitar's volume rolled off. Could you perhaps confirm/deny this/help me ground it?

Hi I made this secret destroyer. I bought the kit and replace a resistor by a pot, with make it a secret destroyer. I placed one pot on the side so it can be dial by the foot. As for its craziness, more than your old destroyer, idk.....its the same components value.

It must be the "secret" control that's messing with me probably opens up so many new possibilities

Could anyone maybe give me any hints about the ground? I'm an electronics layman
