This came up about 6000 times in my Tumblr feed yesterday. What is it? Also I want one?

Is "Bob Loblaw" Jamie's username on TGP? Because that's who posted this:
[QUOTE=Bob Loblaw;17747253]So this wasn't really ready to be seen yet :facepalm Some guys came by to check out the shop, snapped a photo and put it up on instagram without really knowing they shouldn't do that. We don't have anything written up for it yet and production hasn't even started. We'll have some info and videos up soon enough. It's not a multiband distortion but it is a very versatile version of something I said we would never do

some kinda auto-wah/filter? I'm curious. They've been on a real roll lately coming up with new stuff

I'm definitely intrigued. It sure looks like a multiband distortion.
What did they say they would never do? If it wasn't for the lack of EQ, I would say preamp. Well, I already said preamp. Maybe the "voice" and "bandwidth" in conjunction with the tone acts as an eq? That doesn't seem as useful as just having eq controls. Hmm.

Yeah trying to think what it could be, interesting it seems to have two gain stages (one always active) but only one tone control.
A type of EQ/preamp was the first thing i thought of too (akin to the empress paraeq w/boost, with a different take on the paraEQ stuff), the other was the WMD geiger counter which is so unwieldy a simplier idea would be brilliant.

What did they say they'd never make? A phaser wasn't it? Could the control knobs be in any way phaser related?

They have a Phaser already. Grand Orbiter

It almost looks like it could be some kind of harmony synth fuzz type deal. Like a second voice maybe? But with an extra gain stage and a boost?
Its probably going to turn out to be something either really ridiculous or really mundane in a fancy box.
