So... I am trying to brainstorm what might be a good material to use for pickup bobbins (as I want to start winding pickups in the near future) and while regular pickup bobbins aren't expesnive or anything, im sure theres something out there thats recyclable.


so im thinking... tongue depressors. but isn't that sick? i mean, personally im not afraid of a used tongue depressor, but its probably illegal to acquire used tonque depressors hahahaha.


so anyone got any bright ideas!?

besides a tongue depressor isnt quite wide enough for a proper bottom bobbin

I'd think that unused tongue depressors wouldn't be that expensive - they probably sell 'em in bulk at any medical supply store. It's not like you'd be trying to buy Vicodin or something...
