Decided not to take the risk and I ordered The Seer on vinyl instead...

I don't think there is any risk involved. I think Swans may be one of the few bands who arguably get better with age.
Anywho, the Seer is awesome. Enjoy in good health.

Yeah, all of the reviews that I've seen so far make it out to be amazing (even tho all of these reviews were linked on Swans' FB). I really like "A little god..." and "Oxygen" and someone on another guitar forum that I go on said that they listened to the leak and said that a lot of it has a funky feel like those two. I'll definitely be getting it when I have the funds. Hopefully I'll be able to do that before I see them if I have enough left over from things that I'll be buying next month.

It's streaming over at npr. I dig a good amount of it, but the "IM JUST A LITTLE BOY" bit kinda threw me for a loop.
"Bring the Sun" / "Toussaint L'Ouverture" is pretty sweey as a whole. Lots of cool lil textures.

LOL just when I was finally able to pull the trigger, I found out it's been sold out, so I couldn'T buy my signed copy straight from Young God
preordered the european release from Mute through Norman Records in UK instead, fair price
in case anyone was in the same situation

I've listened the NPR stream twice and I have to say this album is vicious. I love it already.
And yes they are awesome live. I've seen them 5 times now and every time it was a different experience. The second show I saw, kinda changed how I think about music in general. What a shame that they're playing NYC like a week before I'm getting there. I really hope they'll do European tour later in the year. If you have the chance to see them live, don't miss it!
