Moog Ring Mod vs. Moog Ring Mod

I'm sure this has already been covered here but I don't feel like searching for a previous thread.
Who wants to chime in with their opinion regarding the differences between the
MoogerFooger Ring Mod and the MiniFooger Ring Mod?
I have the MoogerFooger. I fired it last night. This is the second time I've done this.
Accidentally plugging the wrong power supply into it.
Seriously though, I've done this twice....geez.
I ask about Mini Ring because then I could just power it with the majority of the
other stuff I use and not blow it up.
Or should I go with something else?
Not like I need to spend more money on stuff.
Maybe I just needed to vent.
I never should have sold my old Frequency Analyzer....

Fired it as in blew it up? Yikes...Hope not!
I'm able to power my big Moog Ringmod of my pedal power supply with a reverse polarity cable and never have had a problem with it...I got rid of its power supply long ago after the cable kept breaking...
I'd love to hear thoughts on the Mini one, too...If I could get the same control for half the size, I'd be in.

Yup. FRIED.
Plugged the wrong power supply into. You'd think if they're going to make it proprietary
that they would make it totally proprietary! Oh well, my fault.

Or include simple reverse polarity protection, sheesh...

The Randy's Revenge is a lot more organic, Moog has that weird, cold sound to it that makes me think of scientists in white lab coats. RR is more of a tattoo studio than an operating theatre. That to say, that both have their uses and I like having both for the options. They are different.
I don't know about the MF-Ring though. Obviously it can't go as low, the trem settings of the modulator are reserved for the MF-Trem. The tone knob seems like an useful option, and might help get the best of both worlds, with more organic sounds when the tone is rolled off. I never use the LFO on the Fooger, but I might miss the carrier input. Patching that shit up can be hordes of fun.

Fairfield fanbois here... Jeez! I had phantasmas RR and it sucks big ass. Deal with it.
The Moogerfooger sounds incredible and is super versatile. One of my favorite effects. No idea about the Minifooger though.

Let me point out that if you miss your old FA, nothing else quite sounds like one.
It's limited, doesn't have many tweaks, but nothing else sounds like one.
It's the only EHX pedal I have *ever* loved.
For nasty ringmod that's automatable, I have other stuff, but for beautiful bells and dissonant stuff that's just clear...love the FA.

Are you able to fix the moog? Should be a simple fix for someone honestly.
