A flaming lips ring mod. Wayne Coyne has the prototype now, trying it out etc. It's going to be awesome.

Looks cool. Death by Audio really does need to make a ring mod/fuzz pedal. I used to have their Crash Modulator. It was finicky and limited in its applications, but it had a great glass shattering kind of sound.

What was the ring mod they had back in the day called? It was sexy but I remember it being way more than an obtainable amount.

Thank god I'm not the only one. People freaking worship them here in Dallas.
Regardless I'm always curious about DBA releases. Usually at least worth looking at, even if I can't afford them.

I don't like them either but mad respect for getting pedal usage by them Space.
DBA doesn't really interest me either but mostly because of price.

What was she thinking, stooping so low? She's better than that.

That Lightning Bolt split was tight, but I feel like everything else is kinda meh. I'm super excited about that ringmod though and, hey, with their more recent pricing structure, maybe I'll be able to afford it.

I saw Flaming Lips on Austin City Limits years ago. It was a great live show. Only Really heard Yoshimi stuff. Its fun music. DBA sounds like a good idea but I simply can't afford it. I'm mainly interested in Ring Mods... Its a small field and not terribly easy to get lost in it. Unlike "fuzz" or "chorus" where there's thousands of pedals to sort through

Even though I love all things Death by Audio and practically worship the ground Ackermann walks, I'm tentative about buying this speaker-blower. Partially because I know that everything they build could probably be copied with less than $50 and enough time to kill to find images/schematics of their pedals' guts and partially because I have absolutely no idea how I'd use a ring mod musically outside of noise making and electronic music. Buuut, if I' get obsessive enough about the pedal before the end of the month, I'll probably shell out the cash just because it's weird and probably will be completely different whenever they release the normal version within the next year or so.
