Do they make this pedal?

A tremolo/pan with expression control? I liked the panning with expression on the Line 6 MM4, I just don't need all the other effects and I need a smaller footprint.

The Dr. Sci Trem does! It has stereo TRS outputs if you wanted to do speaker panning. Expression control works great and you can do mix and rate; both are sweet. I love my Tremolessence, don't think I'll ever sell it. It sounds really great with everything, it can be very smooth and fast and deep and shallow. It's a small size with top mounted jacks. pretty easy.
I also really like the Goatkeeper trem, I want one whenever win a scratch off or something. It also has expression control and tap tempo but it is large. very unique feature set that can control other things thru it as well.
The Zvex Sonar seems cool too. can do simple and some crazy shiet.
there's a lot of good trem pedals but these three interest me the most.

Dr. Scientist looks intriguing. It needs TRS cables for stereo right?

yeah I think so. I've never gone into looking at them but I think you can buy a cable that splits the signal, then you can put it into your AB box or wherever the signals are going. Should be straight foward.

This is how I plan on using my tremolessence, minus the expression pedal. I just bought the cables to split TRS to dual TS but yet to get a chance to try it out. Once I get it all set up, I'll let you know how it goes.

Maybe check out Ryan's Dr. Scientist blem thread or even better email him direct. You can get a nice discount on pedals with extremely minor cosmetic issues.

Switchable between rate and depth I believe.

The M5 looks interesting, it's cheaper and it's footprint is small. Thanks guys!

Having owned a Tremolessence and M5, I would say the M5 is a really good option if you don't use tremolo often and would benefit from having other effects in there to switch between (although the filters are awful compared to the FM4 for some reason).
But the Tremolessence is a masterpiece, sounds amazing and has an awesome feature set that really lets you tweak it to suit your rig. It's worth the price and takes up next to no space. Providing you wanted expression control over just rate or depth it would be perfectly suitable.

The M5 also has tap tempo and the fun volume sensitivity for the rate of the panning. That's pretty much all I do with the M5.
