Looking at this pedal in a trade.
It seems to have some great stereo capabilities that i can't seem to grasp onto yet.
Any help on a quick summary? There are no videos or reviews of this pedal to be found online and the 3XFX site is down.

Heres the description:

"The Sidewinder is a very unique and versatile effect unlike any other pedal on the market today.
It is a stereo switching effect that can be used in many different ways, with 2 inputs and 2 outputs that can be used in different configurations.
One way to use this effect is to have 1 input and 2 outputs going to 2 amps.
When the effect is engaged your input will alternate between the 2 different outputs, kind of like a stereo tremolo or panning effect.
This is a great way to use 2 amps for a very psychedelic stereo effect!
When the effect is bypassed you can choose to either have your signal go to both amps, or just one.

Another way to use the Sidewinder is with 2 inputs and 2 outputs. This setup will switch each input between each output alternately. So when input 1 is switched to output 1, then input 2 will be connected to output 2. Next the effect will switch input 1 to output 2, while input 2 is connected to output 1, and so on, back and forth until the effect is bypassed.
Once again, this setup could be used in different ways. One example would be to have 2 guitarists set up on opposite sides of the stage, each with their own amp.
Each guitarist would run their signal into the Sidewinder and when the effect is engaged Guitarist 1's signal will switch to amp 2
and guitarist 2's signal will switch to amp 1 and back and forth until the effect is bypassed. When the effect is bypassed, guitarist 1's signal
will be back on amp 1 and guitarist 2's signal will be back on amp 2. Again this is a very psychedelic effect for any live performance or studio recording.

A third way to use the Sidewinder is with 2 inputs and 1 output. This will allow to switch a secondary signal into your amp while silencing your original signal.
Imagine a tremolo, but instead of silence the gap in your sound would be filled with a secondary signal such as a theremin or oscillator.
Yet another way to use the Sidewinder is with 1 primary input and output. The second input/output set would be used as an effects loop.
When the effect is engaged your signal will alternate between unaffected and going through the effects loop. Imagine turning a whole string of effects on and off alternately!
As you can see there are many different ways to use this effect.
The 3Xfx Sidewinder is capabable of both panning and tremolo effects.
In pan mode, the Sidewinder produces hypnotic, stereo phasing effects. The 3Xfx Sidewinder adds another dimension to your tone."

It seems cool. I just need a clearer understanding of it. Or maybe i'm the only one confused by the description.

I briefly had one. I got it primarily for the panning, which was very choppy. I didn't keep it.

I was interested in this a couple years back. These used to be up on the fuzzhugger website.

The ultimate tremolessence kinda makes this obsolete for me

Right? Must be the way that it was worded.

:)* :)* :)* You sir have just helped me with this decision. :)* :)* :)*
I guess it only does on/off or more percussive style trem which is odd.
It would also be cool if it had a momentary switch to go back and forth between the two channels.

Agreed. I have a blue Tremolessence. I love it but using a Y cable for the output kinda limits it in a funny way.
I also have a PN-2 and an MM4 which rocks for stereo use.

Still want one. Really wanted one just for the switch that changes outputs. So cool.

Well, solewheelin was looking to trade for mine, but it sounds like he is out of the running.

Meh, I've softened my trade flexibility a bit. I'd rather this go to someone who will use it that sit on my amp. PM me what you've got, if you are interested.
