Eyyyyy.
Just a dumb question to Skully or anyone else who owns a ssstampede. Is there any place in the signal chain it seems to like more? Sayyyyy, going into an overdrive, or being fed and overdrive. before or after a delay? Shit like that.
Probably more of a question of preference, butt fuck it. I want yo opinions.

It seems most happy when it's first in my experience. I know Grrrface keeps his up front too

Yup, up front is generally where it's happiest. Now, it also does well with something pushing the front of it, like an overdrive, but the tradeoff is that you pick up a little noise. I found that tradeoff well worth it, though.

When I use mine it is after a distortion/overdrive. But mine has a built in SHO post fuzz which thickens it up a bit, then slamming it with a distortion gives me more crunch while still having that doomy fuzz on the low end.
I remember having a line up of Umiom Distortion->STAMPEDE->TAFM and it was sickkk.

run it first, into a Pharoah with the LED pulled on low-clip. The latter soloed is for huge cleans, feeding it with the ssstampede's

Without a pedal on after acting as a preamp it is probably my loudest fuzz box in that it doesn't have a volume knob, it only has a footswitch that engages a boost to make it LOUDER.

Cray.
That's not really a problem, I like to stack.

I liked it first it was very responsive to volume. Most of the time when I had it on I had my vol. rolled back

I've been running mine after my Mini. I found that it sort of muffled the ssstampede when I ran the ssstampede first. I have a pregain knob on mine, and I turn it down about halfway and run the mini into it and it gets pretty gnarly. It also sounds rad when I turn my starve down on the ssstampede and crank the pregain for a nice 8 bit-ish fuzz and then run the mini to give it a sharper edge. I play bass exclusively by the way.
I have a Malekko Diabolik coming soon so I'll see how they play together.
