Live mixer recommendations

i'm going to pretty much entirely be replacing the sound system to the venue i recently got to take over.
it currently has a pretty ancient 24 track mixer. i'm gonna buy a new one. debating digital or analog w/ digital effects. was almost sold on a presonus until i got to check one out in person & found that they have cheap as shit unstable sliders. total turnoff.
i'm either going to go 24 or 32 channels & i WANT BUILT IN EFFECTS, compression & reverb. aside from EQ that damn near all mixers have, those are the other two i need. yeah it would be fancy to have others or ipad coordination or whatever but that's not necessary. track by track compression would be a HUGE help.
i'm pretty curious about the yamahas like the MGP32X but haven't found a store that carries them, just online via sweetwater & such.
so, might be kind of a long shot, but am wondering if anyone's had their hands on a mixer that fits this bill & that would either be recommended or told to avoid.
