I posted this in the EQD forum, but you know...they're all busy shoegazing or something.
Using your Ghost Echo in line before dirt, how do you like to set it for deep dark doom?

I keep mine close to those settings a lot. The other way I tend to set it is depth 12, dwell 10, attack 8ish.
I run mine after dirt...need to give it a go pre dirt to see how I like it.

Awesome, will have to try those settings.
Delay pre-dirt you say? Hmmmm....curious.

In the picture above is the board I use when I'm messing around at home...typically I have another dirtbox earlier in the chain, so I can still go for the 'verb at the end (or use it sandwiched between the two.)
Using it before is a good way to get instant Sunn O))) with the right dirt!

Got another Ghost Echo in this morning. Sounds even better than I remember from the first time I had one. Last time I ran it only on cleans or washed out tremolo picking lines but this time I'd like to have it as an always on pedal. I know this gets lots of props for being able to play well with dirt without getting muddy. I wanna be able to do gallops and palm mutes and that kind of stuff as well as slower. What are some good ballpark settings for this. Right now at home all I have amp wise is my little Orange Crush 12watt combo. Sounds good, but my board reacts way different than my big setup.

I would start by turning up the attack a bit - that way you can still get the definition of the chugs or palm mutes before the reverb comes in.

Yeah, I was messing around with it earlier and got it sounding ok set at 10, 11, and 11. I hope it will be close when I get to the space and try it.

I got my Ghost Echo to clip today. It took a shit ton of input. It was weird.
Good story, ol' Pete.

I've never really used it that way - I keep it big and spacy behind fuzz, but knowing how good it is, I'm sure there is a setting in there that will work for you.

Holy damn, I didn't even know that was possible.

I'm sure those settings will end up getting changed when I get to practice and crank it to full volume with the rest of the band. I'm trying to get it to sound as washed out and ambient as I can on the cleans and still have the heavier parts tight and focused.
Like the clean tone on the first song of this:
http://oxtongue.bandcamp.com/releasesI fucking love this band.

I was playing Pharaoh (volume nearly dimed) > Black Forest (volume nearly dimed) > Ghost Echo. Shit tons.
