Wow, they're actually playing here, too.

So I just checked the ticket prices, and the shittiest, farthest-out lawn tickets are $185 a person

That just broke my heart a little
I was going to wait until I had a computer to look into it further
On a different note how many people here go to concerts on their own?
I'm not sure if I have any concert going friends that really dig this music

It's fine to go to a show on your own. It's just more fun with a friend.
Most of my shows have been with a friend 'cause we always have to travel to see anyone worth seeing. But I've gone to see bands alone and it's been great, too.

Yeah I might have to go to this one on my own
I feel like I'd probably enjoy it just as much.
I'll just wait to see what the tickets cost
Either way it looks like it would be a freaking killer show

I go to shows on my own all the time, it's no big deal. I was pumped when I got an email about this, but then obviously all the dates are in the US. Should have seen that one coming.

I've seen Soundgarden twice, and they were seriously one of the worst fucking live bands I've ever seen on a stage. Which was a shame because I loved their first couple albums.

I've seen them a handful of times going back to the 90s. At the Gorge two years ago (with Mastodon and QOTSA) they killed it. Saw them last year in Seattle and it was bad news (really bad sound). They're kind if a crapshoot. While he can still wail, Chris seems to be the wild card.
Still would love to see this lineup.

Both of the times I saw them was back in the mid-90s. Chris didn't really try to hit the crazy highs, but that wasn't even the biggest problem. They just seemed bored and contemptuous of being there, particularly Kim. He played both shows without looking at the crowd at all, and had a look on his face like he just took a bite out of a shit sandwich.

Yeah I think they were all burned out back then. Kim is a reclusive dude anyways, but there was one show where they couldn't even finish the set because Chris was so fucked up. The last couple times they've all been into it, but Chris has this annoying tendancy of singing a bit behind the beat or something.
Still, seeing them perform hands all over, loud love, behind the wheel, hunted down and anything off badmotorfinger is pretty fucking epic.

Interesting, I saw them last year and while the sound was kinda all over the place, the band played well.

I wanna see Death Grips, I don't want to see Nine Inch Nails or Soundgarden.
oh well.
I feel like Death Grips does things just to get a reaction or something. like everything they do is more than what it seems to be on the surface and there's some artsy motif or something behind it. idk. most of the time I just feel like they wanna make you go "wtf" or "weird, I don't understand"
