Finally reworking the board...

It's been a long time coming but I finally took apart my giant board and started reworking it. This includes moving a Mobius, Timeline, and Space to a satellite board and building a shelf to cover the power supply.
(I'll try to keep all updates in this thread until it's finally done)

Started by laying all the pedals on the floor and making sure there was room left for an incoming Schism + Ring Mod. I had originally thought I'd ditch my 40x16 flight case board (turning it into a guitar case) and start with a completely clean slate.

After grabbing some connectors and really thinking about it (also having a few beer to help) I realized I could fit everything on my original board if I built a shelf above the power supply/G-lab.

A quick trip to Home Depot and I settled on a 45 degree cabinet hinge to make the shelf with, so I can still access everything below. Gonna screw it down with L-brackets tomorrow.
UPDATE: Mar 16th

$13 sheet of 1/2" poplar ply = a much more solid board. Also split the pedal shelf in half to make it a bit easier to lift + a sturdier.

Drilled some 1 1/4" holes to run cables through. 2 in the side and 3 on top.

Surprised pedalboard is surprised.

Plenty of room. I'd like to stain it a nice green (forest, sherwood, whatever), wire up the whole thing, and then... more to follow.
