anyone here tried any MJM? been real interested in gettin a 3-knobbed Brit Bender.

I've got a big-box Foxey Fuzz and I think it's incredible. I wanted one years ago and then decided to look into other "Muff" options. I came across a Foxey Fuzz for sale about a year ago, and I was kicking myself for not getting it sooner. Of all the pedals I have, the Foxey Fuzz sounded most like the sound clips. Granted the sound clips on the MJM site are pretty produced, but the inherent sound of the pedal was VERY close.

Don't own any but I messed around with a london fuzz once and was pretty impressed, on my "need to buy" list. First I need some more fuzz from around here

meh... It's an allright company I can think of alot more pedals I'd want before an MJM.

Are there other comparable alternatives you prefer or are you just not in their target demographic? (just curious)

I think for a classic/vintage sound, they sound great. And I don't mean just playing classic rock/blues, because I don't. At all. To me, the Foxey Fuzz has a nice warmth that I don't really find in a lot of more modern Muff designs (clones and EHX).

The one thing I wonder about is how they would do at performance volumes. I think they sound great at home, but I wonder if they would get lost in the mix live. They just seem to be voiced that way.

The London Fuzz is my favorite fuzz face so far. And I prefer the silion/blue one over the germanium/red one...germanium was great too, but my humbuckers (from my les paul) seem to work/sound better with silicon bc108 fuzzes I'm finding.

i've been wanting a China Fuzz for a while. i love the sound of Univox Superfuzzes. not too many people make recreations of them.

After a ridiculous about of fuzz pedals over the years, this is one of two that remain on the board at all times (the other being a Sonic VI — Champion "B & M" Fuzz). I don't know how it compares to the production version, this was back when they were a custom jobbie. My friend purchased one similar after playing mine, but he said it didn't compare...mine is magical. Amazing pedal, really...it's like two pedals in one.




This is another custom I had for awhile, ultimately it proved redundant with some of my others so off it went.




This was my main fuzz for years and years, but I found myself more and more frequently sticking to just the China and Sonic VI Champion, so it just recently left me.




This was my second MJM pedal ever, a custom Blues Devil. I never bonded with it.




This was my first MJM ever, it was a bad ass. It was because of this pedal that I contacted Michael and commissioned the custom London seen a few pics up. It also launched me into the MJM fan club.

MJM Guitar FX are great pedals. London Fuzz, China Fuzz--great vintage sounds.

Where did you get these

All of these, minus my first London, were MJM custom shop jobbies. I'm sure if you emailed Michael and commissioned him to build you an old school custom shop model he would likely oblige.
