consonant vs. dissonant signal chains: a fantasy thread

Sometime I wanna play "loud & raucous" and sometimes I wanna play "sweet & tender".

What pedals in a chain would you use for each of those applications?

I was gonna start out with mine, but I can't decide.

Consonant/harmonious would definitely include: Neo Ventilator, Fairfield Accountant, IdiotBox Dimension X Delay, Randy's Revenge, Rainbow Machine, ???

Dissonant/disharmonious would have some combination of: Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise, IdiotBox Death Ray, Randy's Revenge, Green Ringer, Harmonic Percolator, a flanger, Rainbow Machine, ???

Depends on your playing. Each of my pedals can fit both.
I can do some lovely mellody with Randy's Revenge.

Yes, Syl, but if you had to choose pedal for one style of playing or another. Which would you choose?

1) Octron > AB-Synth > Proteus > Randy's Revenge > Ruckus II > Demo Tape Fuzz > The Elements > Overdrive > Xero DLX > AD4096 > Superdelay

2) Octron > AB-Synth > Proteus > Randy's Revenge > Ruckus II > Demo Tape Fuzz > The Elements > Overdrive > Xero DLX > AD4096 > Superdelay

:D

Sweet and tender would probably be something like:
Instant Lofi -> Mini -> El Cap -> Cathedral & an amp with some smooth trem.

Loud and rawkus? Hmmm...:
Mini -> DMM -> BUZZZ -> ECT-> Cathedral -> Freaker Wah -> TAFM

Sure.

Yeah, Syl, maybe it's best if you abstain from participating from here on out.

Ooh, I like that. Smooth trem.

Futuresailors totes did this with the wonders of the m13 patchbay.
Sweat and tender: m13 plate verb>vibrato>tape delay>smooth trem
change scenes to
Ear-pussy rape: spring verb>rat>gnomeratron>ducking delay

i use the subdecay noisebox, boss FZ-2, line 6 FM4, EQD bit commander and dr s. elements exclusively for angry, dissonant, harsh sounds, either alone or stacked in various combinations. I can't think of any consonant/harmonious applications I use those for at all.

i can't think of much that i exclusively use for consonant sounds. but when i go that route i would normally be using the RV-3 for long hall reverb, a detune chorus sound on the line 6 M5 or some kinda Timeline preset, or a reeeaaallly slow flange.

 Yeah, that's why I started this thread. I needed some ideas. It's always much easier for me to get nasty sounds than nice ones.

Sweet or sour, always appropriate.

Thanks, guys, great signal chains so far.
