I decided to give my #1 electric a few upgrades, add some versatility, and make it mine cosmetically.

(Sorry for the camera phone photos)

Some Keith d-tuners and a Hipshot...

A tort guard. It's actually stacked on the old white guard to make a double-thick guard. Solid.

No picture does any justice for how nice it looks in person. Also still loving the El Dorado strap.

For reference, here's the old look...

There are 2 more things I want to do to this guitar:

1 - Push/pull pot for series/parallel

2 - Parson/Green B-bender

Very nice! I love customizing guitars and making them just right for me. Those tuners look crazy. Also, maybe consider the push/push pots at Mojotone for the series/parallel switching. Smoother operation than push/pull.

Cool! Not a fan of tort pickguards, but this one gives it a real cool rustic look :)

I agree - I'm usually a so-so tort kind of guy but this is really, really nice stuff. Transparent when held up, catches the light just right... sounds silly but it really is a gift to my guitar for putting up with all my shit (in the overhead during -40 C weather, in the turnk during +35 C, etc, etc).

What I really want is the S1 switch so it's totally discreet but it's really hard to track it down in one piece. I stopped looking recently but I might consider it again - when I'm ready to put the bender in maybe?

Also, I changed the switch tip to white and think I might change the remaining tuner knobs to white as well.
