Have you ever had any absurdly one-sided trades in your favor?

I just recently traded a Peavey Valveking VK100 head for a mint condition Traynor YCV80Q 4x10, WITH a protective cover.

He extended the offer. Weird, right? A $450 head for a $900 combo. I'm not complaining.

I have the worst luck with trades most of the time. I've let so much gear go for far less than what its worth...
But, I used to own a valveking. What a pain in the arse that was. Good trade!

I once traded my fender DeVille for an AC15 + $100.
I would've probably even done a straight trade on that one.

I got that DeVille by trading a Peavey Valveking for it.
Not sure of the value there but I consider it lucky, since I got rid of the VK.

Swapped a $100 plywood Telecaster for a Boss DM-2.

Swapped a couple Devi Ever fuzzes and a Slow Gear clone for a Sunn Sonic 1 head.

I once traded a cheap pocket trumpet for an Ampeg B50R bass amp.

I thought I got the better end of that deal.

I once bought a devi ever Dark Boost on TGP, because it was a really good price (I think it was $35-$40). Then, my wife gave me a Dark Boost for Christmas, so I decided to sell the other one. I really wanted a mid-fi clari(not) and was hoping to raise some funds toward that. I listed it here and a guy contacted me asking if I was willing to trade. I said the only thing I was looking for was a mid-fi clari(not). Turned out (this was pure luck), he had just built a clari(not) clone (with a switch for a clean version, which mid-fi didn't even offer at the time) and he offered me that. It was awesome. It sounded great and I ended up with a clari(not) for essentially $40.

My original pink Malekko Spring Chicken w/Dwell was even-traded to Oz for a LastGasp Misty Cave....literally 1 week before the LTD reissue was announced; and it went to an ILFbro that kept it on his board for months, resulting in a win/win.

Pulled a good Pilot tube amp out of a junked console radio, sold it for $500 which bought my beloved '82 DMM and Telenordia TF-1.

I bought Ancients PedalTrain 2 with Hard Shell Case off of the B/S/T because it was a stellar deal just for the board and case. It also came with a VooDoo Labs PP2+. I didn't need the PP2+ so I traded it for a EQD Sea Machine.

That's like my only good trade story. I think that I'm just a little bit ahead.

I'm usually that guy trading down and losing, but that's because I (usually) know what I want and hate hanging on to gear when GAS hits.

I once traded a beat as fuck ampeg b2r and ampeg hlf410 for a fender jaguar. It felt fair because I hated the head but loved the cab. I just couldn't even fit it in my current car. All told as a bassist, I'm ok having a guitar this nice.

been offered a lot of cool things for my Sunn 200s- fender super six reverb, orange dark terror, Nashville telecasters, 5150's... but still holding out for my beloved ampeg v4 to come along

i swapped a behringer amp head that i'd listed on craigs for $75 for THREE electric guitars. epi SG, weird epi strat i traded on here & a self built les paul.
