So I just got a deluxe pitch pirate and it isn't really doing much. I match settings with setting is videos online and it just doesn't sound the same. I really only get much of an effect when the delay time is turned up. Any thoughts?

every dpp ive owned was drastically different than the next setting wise. im pretty sure every run doug uses whatever parts are available. that being said its close to impossible to get the same sound as another from a different run-build with the same settings. but have you messed with the wave and blend knobs extensively? when those knobs arnt in use it kinda is just a delay.

I assume you are talking about the Deluxe Pitch Pirate I just sold to you.
If so, Have you looked at the videos I have made?
I can't imagine that pedal not functioning correctly. I had it for years. If you want you can send it back to me and I will refund your money as soon as I get it back from you.
Just to triple check you're powering it with a normal 9 volt power supply?
Is it daisy chained with other effects that may be messing with it.
Have you tried twisting the internal trim pot, for more volume?
Have you played it on its own, with out any other pedals in the signal chain?
Sorry, that's been my favorite pedal for years.

It should sound exactly like this. This is a video of the pedal you have

I had two DPPs from same run, one for me and another for a Euro ILFer. Both sounding different from one another when set the same with one having noticeably more speed on the rate control than the other.

Hey! I didn't realize that this thread had continued, but I found the issue with the pitch pirate. Turns out that in my excitement to play it, I put it directly after a pedal that has notoriously not interacted well with any pedals that come after it in my chain. Once I fixed that, it was sweet warble town for hours.
