ok what im looking for
p90s (id probably be ok with 1 actually)
less than $1k, the less the better obviously
lighter is better because i have a muscle in my shoulder/neck area that hates heavy ass guitars when im standing up (i had a '70 les paul custom for a while LOL WUT it was like 25 lbs)
i also like white guitars

That new 2014 Melody Maker would be real light.
There's also Fender's Modern Player Thinline Deluxe.

This is something I'm actively looking for as well. If you aren't in a rush, you can find an LP JR [single or double cut] with P-90s for about $600 used…sometimes less. There was a TV yellow DC on Portland's craigslist for $650 today.
You can also find an SG Classic [stock P- 90s] for about $700-$900, also sometimes less. Something I've been really mulling on is looking for an SG Standard and swapping in some of the Lollar P-90 in a Humbucker size pick ups. This is totally color based. I can find a Black or White SG standard used for about $750, but the cherry or tobacco one is nearly impossible to find, or is up closer to $900. Add in pickups and you are a bit over your price. I am not 100% positive, but I think there was a short run of SG Standards that had P-90s stock as well.
Big thing for Gibson's, imho, is you need to try them out. One can be magical [love my LP] and another total shit. Unfortunately, I've played more tonally dead Gibson's than not...
