who has used this thing?

i really really want one, but being a pc/android user, i cant even buy the algorithms at the moment....

but since iw as gonna get a pitchfactor anyway, the h9 looks awesome....

I have one. It's amazing. I use it for chorus, pitch shifting, pad like chords, ring mod, crazy reverbs, crazy delay, and tremolo. And that's just in my covers band. Covers a ton of turf. Also an awesome tuner on board, and transmits tap tempo and midi PC if you use other pedals that may benefit from such things. I use it to sync up my line6 m9 for time based effects. Add an expression pedal and you've got one of the most powerful pedals available. Sure I've spent about $80 in adding on algorithms, but it's totally worth it in my eyes.

You can use it with your PC with a USB cable. You end up buyin through the amazon store rather than the iTunes Store so it is still an option for you.

Fortunately I have some ios devices around. I sold my Space in advance of the of the H9 coming out in anticipation of it coming out. The wait was long thanks to Eventide but I bought it as soon as it dropped into the prymaxe store. I love it. Mod delay and digital delay are the most used algorithms but Hall, Blackhole, tremolo, harpeggiator, and many others see regular use. As much as I think I would like to put two on my board I am holding off. Managing two from the same ios device seems a bit complicated for me. I love UI for one pedal and it kind of makes my Strymon timeline and big sky feel antiquated. If you like the Eventide sound I think it's kind if a no brainer.

whats teh deal with the "core" ? noticed that..not really sure what it is or why it's $100 less

advantage of using 2 h9's? cant seem to wrap my brain around this either.

good to know i can buy algorithms thru the amazon store. !!! i thought the fact that i dont use ios on any device meant i had no way to buy the algorithms. going by what i read on the eventide site, you can only use a pc to customize stuff like presets via usb. they imply you cant buy alorithms unless you use ios

The H9 Core is the H9 with fewer algorithms stock and a voucher for purchasing algorithms. If you have a standard H-9, too, you already have those algorithms and can share them across. If you don't have a standard H9 and you want those algorithms, if I recall correctly, the standard version is a better value than buying a Core and then the algorithms.

Using more than one algorithm at a time, like harmonizer into delay or reverb. Also, relative position in the pedal chain can matter and not everyone's got a loop controller that will swap pedal positions.

Dang, I want two. I'll try to settle for one first.

I get a ton of mileage out of just 1. The only sounds I'm not using it for is analog octave down or dirt. And that's just because it can't pull double duty.

i might buy one right effing now, where should i get it?

the thing that had me apprehensive was -i got the impression from reading up on their site that you cant buy the algorithms if you dont have a way to use iOs to do it
but if i can use amazon store and a usb then im good

i really only want a harpeggiator and pitch shifting and some delay to start out...how many do i get with the full h9?

Can you can use the usb connection to control the parameters in realtime on your pc?

i can see myself fallin in love with these thing and getting an ipad or something just to control it.

the whammy like algorithm is a must for me. im not really interested in the modulation effects. this would be my only digital delay (i have an analog) but the pitch effects/harpeggiator is what im really after.

i havent heard anyone bring up the harpeggiator actually, amidst all the discussion everywhere.

it was between a big box hog and a pitchfactor for me (the pf had it, mainly because of the harpeggiator) before i found out about the h9.
