Black Death and other 'exposed'/unenclosed synths...

Got a Black Death last month. Killer, EVIL when paired with some suboctave and the verb and trem on my Traynor, still surface scratching.
This is my first device of its kind - no enclosure. For those of you with this or similar units, how do you deal with the lack of any protection to the exposed (dripping gangrenous) guts?
Building an enclosure seems difficult, the toggle switches look to be too short in comparison to some of the other hardware. Right now I'm thinking about finding something similar to an oversized altoids box to use - keep it closed when it's not being played, but easy to flip open and access controls. Maybe even drill some holes so I can keep the power and audio jack(s) connected as well...
Yeah. Anyone else in this boat?

I don't know what your synth is (can you post pics, sounds insane) but I have a little homemade synth a local guy made me, it has an enclosure bit it's too big for my pedalboard and too small to have it's own case and now I think I need to buy some kind d of roadcase if I ever want to take it and my minibrute to shows.....

It IS insane.... Sounds like Yoko Ono trying to get a 14.4 modem pregnant.

That could be put into a pedal enclosure pretty easily. Just make the in/out and power jacks offboard.

I'm pretty sure they've just stopped making them. I got one (if not the) last of the Black Death, but it looks like they still have a few of the micros available

I'm physically restraining myself from buying one. To see how much of a difference between the two. And to see what sort of biblical end of days shit happens when you run the micro into the black death.

This thing does look pretty awesome. I'd be afraid of breaking it without an enclosure, though.
I love that there's a market for something that sounds like when you pull one side of Goldeneye 64 halfway out of the console and that might crash as often.
