Multiple instruments with different outputs

Hey, guys
so my jazzbox is up and running. However, the output is drastically lower than my Jazzmaster's output. So i'm asking - what's the best way to deal with the difference in your opinion and experience?
Clean boost? Something like a Sparkle Motion to also give me a bit of tonal control? Compressor with a certain level bump? Light drive?

Not exactly sure what a jazzbox is...but this might be something to consider:
I had one and it was exceptional...but sold it to fund something vintage after my user habits and M.O. changed.

I usually go with a clean boost, that way your signal isn't colored going in, unless you are finding that you want that tonal control between guitars.

The Elements.
For everything.
All the time.

But I'm already using The Elements as my main distortion!
that Lehle looks good! I am already using a clean-ish boost, however it feels like it's adding some roundness to the sound, something like lower mid bump or something. Which is not that good when you're using a huge 16" hollowbody guitar with neck humbucker and flatwounds

I MIGHT be better off with something a bit different, maybe more like a treble booster

I'm thinking i might just modify the booster I have right now for pedge

Just get a Boss LS-2. Plug one of them into the input, and plug the other one into return A. Then turn the mode selector to A<->Bypass. Then turn the A volume knob until the two inputs are at unity to each other. Simple and cheap.

cool option! thanks

will keep that in mind if the clean boost doesn't do the trick

You're welcome, I had this exact problem with one of my bands where I wanted to alternate between sending my bass or one of our synths through my bass amp. The LS-2 is a kick-ass little swiss army knife of a pedal.

Not to derail, but did you have a problem with tone suck on the LS-2? I had one for about a week but it colored my signal so bad I sent it back. Too bad for me because it really is an amazing little utility box.

Nope, I've never had a problem with any of the Boss buffers. In fact, I find that they actually strengthen the signal a bit when I'm playing one of my passive basses.
Maybe I'm not as sensitive to tone suck as some other guys, but the only pedals I've ever heard that really sucked tone were older whammys, 70s era EHX boxes, and a couple of the switchless wahs (especially the 105Q crybaby)

A jazzbox is usually acoustic arch top guitar, a lot of these guitars have the pickup mounted to the end of the fingerboard so that the actual pickup does not add a hole into the guitars top which could weaken it and dampen the sound, because the pickup has to be made very thin to fit in this space you tend to get underpowered pickups in most of these instruments. Although there are modern improved pickup designs by Lace and Kent Armstrong.
OP: a boost/preamp would be cool for the hollow body but it could make any noises and buzzing louder so try it with something you have [even a over drive can work if you turn the gain down] to see what you get with it boosted then you can see where you want to go from there

3 individual levels, 3 inputs. Yay.
For other stuff, different patches in the rack for each guitar.

A Jazzbox sounds like my kind of toy!
Underpowered pickup? Crank fuzz.
Recommend you acquire a Harmonic Percolator and fully open up both sliders.
With a non-master amp set dirty, everything comes alive. Especially the feedback, touch sensitivity & guitar volume knob in general.
But mostly the feedback
Edit: So jelly of tape echoes. Need one, badly.

Oh man, this guitar is a feedback monster

even unplugged it has crazy harmonics all over the place...
I actually wrote Schlatte yesterday, because he's the one who built my booster. We made a deal that i'll trade my PTP proto for a new built which will have a miniswitch to switch between full band (which beefs up my jazzy nicely) and treble boost (which would be used for the jazzbox)
i know i'll loose the PTP prototype mojo, but this sounds like the best solution for me... just never used a treble boost, so i wasn't sure what to look for
However, as Mudfuzz suggested, I might try my Mini with gain turned down a bit

cheers!
I'm just a little oblivious about stuff (mainly obvious solutions) sometimes

glad i can discuss things here without eyes rolling and comments about how stupid my question is

Stupid questions are better than stupid answers. And people.
Wanting to learn more about stuff that interests you is anything but stupid.
