boop BOOP. trying to get serious about learning a DAW and Live always looked sechsy butts and good for doing.... live stuff.
but it's way different than the standard way most DAW's work, so any advice on tutorial vids or forums or walkthroughs to start to get my head around it?

The lessons that are built into it are actually very helpful, It's all I did to learn it and I get around in there pretty well now.

Ableton is rad.
Also check out Lynda.com. It does cost money, but you can browse their catalog for freeeeee. Their classes are totally rad in that they break up complex bits into reasonable chunks.
And I know how much you like chunks and bits.

bits and/OR chunks. MEOW.
sweeeeeeet. yeah, i think i'll work through the included stuff first, then hit up humans here if i'm having a problem.
i have a Novation Launchkey that should be here Wednesday to replace the creaky old Kontrol49 i'm using now (that's got a bunch of weird busted parts because YEAH FUCK BEING CAREFUL WITH AND RESPECTING SOMEBODY'S GEAR THEY LET YOU USE FUCKING SINGERS), and i'm hoping to have Live as a host for synths and Kontact and use the Launchkey to switch between patches or instances of synths. sooooo much bettah than using the mouse and keyboard live.
