How many cabs are you working with these days?

What amps do you currently have as well? Are you looking for tourworthy or home show type stuff?

Good questions! I've got one 4x12, two 2x15s, two 1x12s and a 1x15. Which is not to mention what I can borrow.

My current amp lineup:
Sunn Coliseum 880
Sunn Beta Lead
Sunn Concert Bass
Peavey Road Master
Vox AC30
Traynor TS-50B

and I'll be selling the Sunn 1000s to get the funds (put it on ebay, and it's got bids already).

Ideally, what I'll get will sound good distorted, and be pretty loud. And, honestly, for me, the lines between bass and guitar have been blurred amp wise. I have no preference on whether I can play it live or not, I have all of my live set ups set already.

Otherwise, no clue.

I'd try something tube based that you haven't tried before. Maybe a Hiwatt? Older Orange?

Man, there was this 90's OD80 in a local shop for a while...and now it's gone. There is a shop in the area that has a sound city amongst other amps, in their pile of amps.

I mean, if you're talking unnecessary volume, you should hunt down a Peavey Classic 400.

I feel like that's all up in your steeez, and they don't go for more than like 500-700 usually.

Sometimes you can find pairs of like, 1000-watt power amps for big PA systems on craigslist...

Take the 1K, get another 1K, and buy this KT88 madman.

I finally got to crank one and it's ungodly.

Fender Super Twin will get you unnecessary volume, and they're pretty cheap.

Didn't someone post a link to a 1000w guitar amp here recently?
