It's sweet that you give so much of this board up to the community. Again, more proof that I Love Fuzz is the best board anywhere.
I'd second the Pumpkin Pieces moderator nomination... I'd also (if I may be so bold) suggest NewarkWilder for some kind of moderating/officiating if there's ever the need, since he's also pretty darned active, levelheaded, and has web-type experience. Of course, I gots no clue if either of those two peeps are into said moderatorhood...

Whatever happens it would probably be good to have people from different time-zones so there's more chance of someone being here round the clock

Pumpkinpieces is a good choice.
We do have a few 'Euros' here also if there really is a concern about time zones.
There is always some body responding to something. At the extremes it's noon here (est) and Midnight in Bangkok.

I'd be happy to do the job. I'll also second NewarkWilder, if he'd want to. Same for metalmariachi, again if he'd want to. As for time zones I'm est.
No problem on the forum changing, I saw the benefits of both ends, I just liked the old end better.

+1 on MM as well. Not to gum up the nomination works or anything.
By the way, PP, doesn't college exist in a time-zone separate from the rest of the world? It did when I was there... which could explain why I'm so sleepy all the time now that I'm out of college...

Yeah I was gonna say something about that but when I'm home for the summer soon it'll be different. But basically its like 12noon/2pm to 3am. And on mondays, wednesdays and fridays I could be on here 7am, 10am-11am as well.
edit: If it wasn't for jay leno and conan/jimmy falon.... I'd go to bed much earlier.
