Which builders are making the most psychedelic, wild pedals?

Yes, I know that's broad, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with the amount of boutique pedal companies out there.
I'm open to anything unique, musical, and just out there.
If you could name some builders that you think may fit that niche, that'd be awesome. Thanks all! Happy new year too!

i think its more to do with the players imagination and what he/she does with any pedal more so than what the pedal's intentions/limitations are.

Depends what you're looking for.
Dirt wise? Smallsound/Bigsound and Fuzzhugger are really out there, great stuff.
Modulation? Earthquaker Devices, probably? Rainbow Machine, Organizer, all that...yeah. EQD. Mr. Black gets honorable mention as well.
Overall? Dr. Scientist strikes me as the most well rounded.

I'll look into those. The goodbye 24 is one pedal that interests me a lot.

I agree... you can sound psy with some $25 pedals as much as you can with $300 one.
I'm always laughing when I heard someone telling I need this pedal to play that song... euh... no... be creative with what you got!

Mid-fi electronics, clari(not) and pitch pirate, really distinct effects
Iron ether's polytope has always fascinated me, as well.

I don't agree with this at all.
The builders MEC and backwardsvoyager mentioned consistently create pedals that out of the box sound like nothing else. They are pushing guitar sounds into new areas.
Most builders are content on reproducing the same crap. Which is fine. Most guitarists want the same crap.

Personally I like psychedelic and I feel any dr.scietist fucking nails weird mojo. Also as stated mid-fi rules. I only have mid-fi and dr. S on my board (besides a boss rc 300 looper) and it fulfills every acid trip brain overload I need.

Boss flangers are the shit. My BF-2 has had all the knobs fully clockwise for several months straight now. It's probably the thing i stomp on the most (and i seem to have broken it because of that).
