IS MY AMP GONNA EXPLODE??

Hey everybody!
I'm a brand new noob out here, love the site and all you passionate and crazy dudes.
It's Xmas, and all I can think of it's how to get a bigger sound. I play bass in a really dirty and annoying brand of hardcore, wich means superfast grinding riffs and eye-balls-out doomy parts. But every single time I find some cool settings out I have to choose between a very dirty-fuzzy sound (that decapitates the low end) or a kind-boring tune surely more useful in the mix.
I am from north-Italy and I am aware that probably I just need to move in US where I can easily get some super-cool boxes like Dwarfcraft/Fuzzrocious/Earthquaker Devides and soooo... but I've been through a lot of different pedals and amps and never actually get the right combination between this two different sounds I need.
My only present for xmas was an idea:
My head it's a Traynor YBA 200-2, with two different channels (passive/active -6db). I've currently sold all the ungratifying pedals and I just kept my Tech 21 Sansamp Bass D.I., which provides me with two different outputs (normal and parallel output)...soooo
My idea is to get some big and full-low sound out of the Sansamp and send it to the active-imput, and at the same time find some evil distorted/fuzzy tone by putting a cool Overdrive/Fuzz box (and maybe an EQ if needed) after the bypassed output and send it to the passive channel.
In this scenario I would have two different sounds (of course to be put togheter in a right/reasonable/functional way) at the same time, in my amp.
Am I simply too stupid? Or just not noticing some evident issue? Am I gonna burn the whole thing down? Am I gonna make my tubes explode?
I'm a bit scared of trying this out, because I am poor and I need my gear,so can somebody please stop me? hehehe
Or this might work?
Sorry for bothering you all and for the random use of the English language.
Happy Holidays anyway...
Tom
