If you're not running a guitar through it, you don't need a looper to "get weird". You just need a mixer (Behringer mixer is the For Sale forum for 25 dollars) or a pedal with two outputs (re-route one output back into the input) or just any loud pedal as a sound source, running through the pedals you already own (or any sound source really, even a plain cable works).

The straight "noise looper" pedals are super disappointing and a waste of money IMO, but maybe there are some cool ones I don't know about which don't sound boring, or sound like stuff you can already do without a looper pedal.

this.

pick up a cheap mixer, feed the sends back into the inputs (with or without some pedals in the chain). boom: 'zero input mixer', as the free improv people call it.
