Just interested what BBD chips they're using in it now if you can take a gut shot :)

I'm not sure what chips were in my XO (since returned) but I'm sure it sounded shit compared to my old big box version. Not even close.

Do you mean vintage big box, or reissue? Big difference.

I was comparing it side by side to the big box reissue. My XO was an early model tho, had this super annoying high pitched whine that couldn't be dialed out unless you used tame settings which defeats the purpose of a Polychorus. I thought I had a defect and exchanged it originally but same issue.

For that kind of ca$h, I'd skip the Polychorus and just get a Cosmichorus V3. It's capable of all the whacky sounds and then some plus the standard chorus sounds are incredible. Does a nice flange too. Sounds so much fuller in all settings as well.
