Im not bonding with my Pharaoh

Ive been playing around with it and im not getting it at all. I know these things are supposed to have loads of lowend but its getting annihilated by my Supercollider and even my little Onesie/Bazz Fuss in that category.
Alone its pretty meh all around, its a bit muddy and has an odd mid structure. Stacked with the Supercollider it does sound pretty good.....but it just sounds like a gainier Supercollider.
Am i missing something here?

Turn your amp up. Then when you think its too loud, turn it up some more.
The pharaoh will work its magic in these regions.

I've had the same experience and i've always played it on bedroom volumes (because I didn't have any other option at the time), so that might be it

I live in the woods and play damn loud thru 4 cabs and 150w tube watts, believe me volume isnt the problem.

At the end of the day, it may just be not your thing.
It could be that the Pharaoh just doen't mesh with everything else.

What sound are you looking for? What are your settings?
I like the left tone at its minimum and the right tone at maximum... fuzz and volume vary depending on what mode I'm in and what I'm stacking with

Soundwise im going for something looser than my Supercollider and bit boomy, all im getting is muffled really.
My settings are :
Tone 11oclock
High 3 o clock
Fuzz almost 4 oclock
Vol 1 o clock
Im using the Si setting ( GE is super wooly and i dont really like it, middle setting is super bright) and the Hi input side(Lo makes it even more muffled)
Honestly right now........it really reminds me of my Behringer vd-1 but more muffled

It took me three pharaohs before I was able to enjoy one. I do like it a lot now, though. I agree that it does better with a cranked amp but even more so I really only enjoy it in the germanium setting. I crank the fuzz and volume while keeping the two tone knobs down around 9pm. Then I stack it with a light overdrive to help boost the mids.

I'm playin right now (as I type) with a Tele Baritone into RRR into Mini Fuck into Pharaoh into Sunn Concert Bass and 2x15 Peavey and getting hella lows...
Try the left top knob all the way down and the right top knob all the way up, that's supposed to be the setting that Mark had in mind when he made 'em... I'm using low gain and GE and it's massive...

It may Not for everyone though
I think it is fantastic. Love Even playing it alone. And at pretty Low Volume.
