ok I remember watching a few videos of this one band where the bass player had a crazy long beard and an absolutely thrashed mustang bass that he'd throw around, the vocalist would hang from the ceiling

they're not what i'd call scream but they might be what you're looking for. they're heavy and scream so.... there's that.

Aww man. I went to a show on their farewell tour, I left two songs into their set haha. "Better on the internet."
To be fair I don't really know their music that well. I only thought Long Live was ok.

Agreed, Unsung EP was so good. Norma Jeans' "Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child" was pretty great.

Fun story cause I've been drinking: Norma Jean was actually my first show. Underoath, Norma Jean, Dead Poetic and Beloved on the 2004? Solid State tour. A buddy brought me along. One of Norma's guitarists climbed the speaker stack at the old Door Dallas, and the whole thing blew my mind. Yep.
