I've got a niece and nephew who love their monotribes, i'm thinking of getting them volca beats but not sure which would be best for the duo. they are really close so they would most likely spend alot of time playing together. I didn't the hype when they were coming out and now didn't any info on them. want to take advantage of the discounts.

what do you think would be best?

Keys is pretty rad. I haven't tried the other two yet. I'd imagine you can't go wrong with any of them though.

I just got keys and bass today, both are super cool. Still waiting on the beats to arrive.

Thanks for the input.
i was thinking beats and bass??...but i don't know how they can incorporate their monotribes without redundancy...or really what the volca's are. need to vist korg i think. somebodies getting a microbrute and the other's aren't going to be happy unless their's are cool as coooool too.

The Volca series designer has some pretty lengthy YouTube vids demonstrating all 3 in action. Check those out for sure. :thumb:

Those are the 2 I have, and definitely recommend. Can't speak to the Volca Keys, but my 10yr old loves to play with them both. Easy to get started making sounds, and fairly intuitive.

I'd get the Keys and Bass first, too. Together or 1 at a time, either make a cool jumpoff point.

i still havn't looked up anything on the vocas yet. are the volca going to make the monotribes they already have redundant? if so i'll have to look for something else.

The Monotribes should integrate seamlessly with the Volcas...at least the Keys & Bass.
They already have some drums in the Monos...so this would expand upon them more than getting another drum module, IMO.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I decided to get all three volca's and keep the minibrute for myself  This was each kid gets one and they can all get started with a pretty loaded hand.
Thanks again :thumb:

Hahahha. This is something I would totally do. If I had music loving nieces. Or nieces at all.
BUT I WOULD ABSOLUTELY KEEP THINGS FOR MYSELF.
:excellent:

the cool thing is that i've been giving them guitar lessons, which closely resemble free-jazz noise guitar sessions :joy:
they've only got acoustic's for the time being, but they are already coming up with their own open tunings and playing fix'd guitar with silverware, slides, playing cards etc...and the awesome part is that they actually are in harmony with one another...some of the time
