Your go-to edge of breakup od?

I used to bond with ssbs mini for everything, from clean boost, slight breakup to starved fuzz toanz after other od pedals. But with my new amp (ampeg gvt, awesome goddamn amp btw) it sounded harsh and rather shit. I'm digging a Proco You Dirty Rat at the low gain setting for the amp and hit it harder with other drive pedal for meaner gain. What's your fave low & high combos? And also which 2 in 1 boxes are good out there?

yeh man thats what i use it for mostly.
it has this sweet spot with the gain around 9ish o clock
stacks very well, especially with darker pedz

My modded DS-1 with a diode removed and the gain all the way down. Pretty clean till I realy dig in or hit it hard with another OD or fuzz

i love the way the SHO pushes my amp. with that, i'd recommend a superduper 2 in 1 or box of rock

Sure it's not just an EQ'ing issue? The Ampeg eq has a different learning curve than many amps.
But for OD, for everything, Fryette SAS.
