Stacking Modulation?

I know chorus and flanger sound cool together, but does anyone combine either chorus or flanger with phaser effects? I'm about to buy a phaser and wanted to know if anyone has tried this.

Edit: oops wrong forum

yeah, you can stack what ever you want. we all do, trying to get that sound out of our heads. just experiment. there are no hard and fast rules. there are no rules really. try one in front of the other, then the other way. you'll know if it works for you or not. i am always rearranging my signal chain for fresh new perspectives and inspiration.

Trial & error will find what works best for you. Maybe.
For mod, I prefer stacking fast > slow as opposed to slow > fast.
Phaser is a favorite ingredient in the mix, as well.

On my current board, It's a Cosmichorus > Street Sweeper.
So I get oscillation from the CC and then manual sweep phasing with the SS.

All this is going into the front-end of my amp.
If your amp has an fx loop, experiment with both. :hobbes:

yes, but usually i used to do a slow phaser into fast flanger for a very psychedelic sound

Normally.. I go Slicer > flanger > phaser > term > phaser > delay

Modulation?

We don't need no stackin' modulation.

Has the Flange King been usurped from his Throne???

This thread title suggested to me to post some "stinkin' badges".

I still think flanger is the most versatile modulator effect around.

And to answer the question, yes, I've tried this and flanger and phaser can sound great together, you just have to get the sweeps timed properly.

I'm also a big fan of either phaser or flanger with tremolo.

^ I'm with Chank on phaser and tremolo. Very cool sounds in that.

It would be if it was a phaser but it just isn't.

I only modulate my delays now... :yay:

Trem really isn't modulation to me even though technically it is but it's different... I like the Tremulust into some modulated delay... Slow into fast or fast into slow or whatever...

Didn't we/I do some double flange stuff last year???

I loved phasers before I loved flangers, but flangers are definitely way more versatile.

yummmmm. now i'm gonna have to pull out the a/da. that flanger is nuts.

edit: its extra fun having a flanger in the f/x loop of an envelope filter.

I might be swayed if I didn't have a moog phaser [or you could insert other uber phasers], with a flanger if you take it to extreme controlling you get a chorus but then it is chorusing and not flanging so it is no longer flange where phase is always a phase
