I've been offered it in a trade for my Epi LP Custom
I personally think they look awesome but I know that my LP is worth more, and I'm also a little worried because I know Dano's generally have a cheaper feel.
Has anyone played or owned one?

Here's some pics the owner sent me (NSFW for big pictures):

I'm really just trying to sell my Epi to fund other planned purchases, but in my ad I said that I might be interested in trades for baritones, bass VIs, or Jags/Jazz/Mustangs.
I'm planning on buying a Squier Bass VI and an AB-Synth XS+. So chances are if I like the Squier Bass VI more than this, which I probably will, I'd just be flipping it in a couple months.
I might see if this guy is willing to add some cash on his end. Then this deal might make more sense to me

Also I've always considered keeping my Epi and switching my pickups (to some of Railhammer's humbucker-sized P90s) + a bigsby but with all the guitar gas I have lately I don't see it happening.

I had the non-baritone version of this for a while, I liked it quite a bit better than the dano hollow bodies, but it still felt like a danelectro as far as neck and hardware etc, so if you've handled any danos before and not jived with them you probably wouldn't care for this one either. I personally really liked the sound and the neck (super flat fretboard radius). And the body is very comfy.

Yeah I asked him to throw in $120.
He said it was too much and asked if I just wanted to buy the Dano for $300 instead.
I'm asking $425 for the Epi...I'm not sure he knows math
But whatever, I think I'd just prefer cash anyways

I've got a '58-59 silvertone 1373 baritone. doesnt have a tremolo, which would be pretty sweet to have. quality wise its a guitar from the 50s that can still be set up easily and still plays great. pick up a modern america strat and you'll realize how "cheap" the silvertone feels. that said, i love those old silvertones and own a handfull, both for their great play ability and those original lipstick pup tones combined with their hollowbody.

if you don't want it, shoot me a pm with his contact info and i'll gladly take it off his hands. :)

edit: danelectro built silvertones...just in case
