Synth wah on make some noise?

Anyone know how to get the synth wah sound on Make Some Noise? Or how the BBs got it in the studio? Thanks for any good tips.

I think we've done this thread before... It was a Moog Prodigy through probably a Cry Baby and a preamp...

An octave fuzz and wah pedal just might work.

I don't know my synth terminology all that well, but it either sounds like a really tight envelope filter.
Or just a synth through a regular wah
Or a rhodes through a wah with some slight fuzz.
I'm not sure I'm qualified to comment on this post accurately, but I do love this vid.

Nobody ever likes the correct answer here...
We used quite a few analogue synths, like the Moog Prodigy for the keyboard bass in 'Make Some Noise' which was recorded through a pedal and an amp, but we also use soft synths quite a bit.

Ok, my answer was a bit douchey and not 100% correct. With the exception of the actual instrument used, its pretty obvious its a wah or envelope filter. If it wasn't for it being a synth, then just put an octave fuzz in front of the wah/filter. I wouldn't even bother with worrying about using a Moog Prodigy specifically, unless the OP already has one.

I don't really mind seeing other cheaper alternatives though (using only pedals), and no, sadly, I don't own a Moog.
