Just create some deep pulsey sounds, with the occasional lead stuff. Arp would be cool.

What about the pocket piano series by Critter & Guitari? Their bass model seems pretty cool...Pretty sure it does arps, pulses, and has enough space to do leads. Think it's around $225? Haven't looked in a while, though.

I've gotten some great drones over the years from a Novation Xiosynth. Polysynths with arps are damn good for drones!

Volca Keys all the way. The Brutes are a good choice as well, but the Keys is half the price. The delay on the Keys sounds fabulous, which is something you will want to use with drones. Keys has chord memory :thumb:

Awesome! What would be a good midi controller for it? I'd like to map the delay and filters to knobs.

I haven't hooked up a midi controller to mine yet. My controller is just keys anyways, LOL! M-Audio controllers are a great bang for the buck :thumb: I did sync it to midi clock though, works great!

This video is a must watch for the chord memory function. This video does not show it, but if you're looking for the nasty, the Keys does bring it!

That's cool! But not even the same realm of power compared to volcas.

Is the keyboard really a feature You'd be looking for? I mean, for droning? Just saying :hello:

Its nice to have when you want specific notes and or chords. Just because you have a keyboard doesn't mean you are actually going to play a melody.
