NGD - Epiphone ES-339

Saw this on craigslist for $175. Apparently the neck broke and was professionally repaired - I can't even tell. I have a Dot and broke the neck, and pretty un-professionally fixed it and it plays good as new, so I can't complain. Really nice little guitar - aw yis.

That looks really nice.
Sometimes guitars play better after they've had a broken neck.

Sweet mother of crikey that thing look lovely.
I agree with Chanks, I've played some guitars my friends had that had broken. There always seems to be a significant tonal improvement after the break. I wonder why.

Some people think that the glue makes for a stronger bond and alters the resonant properties of the instrument.

Also, forgot to mention this - the back of the neck has a kinda weird (but totally amazingly beautiful) deep redish color to it, compared to the dark-tan color that normal Natural ES-339s have. Dunno what the deal with that is but I'm okay with it.

Huh. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that that probably isn't the original neck.

Looks awesome though!

It's original.
Maple body with a mahogany neck.

Cool, guess that's why I shouldn't make uneducated guesses.

That thing seems like it has some wild history to it. Waiting for sound clips. Murp.

I've been playing my 80's Ibanez AM-50 (ES-339'alike...) this week. Love the size and feel. I bet that Epi is rad. Love the dots with the binding too!
