so im building a wooly mammoth clone and i bought two 1uF and two 20uF electolictic film caps instead of two 10N and 20uF... will these still work... if so.. how should i orient them..
if not.. i have two .1uF trop fish caps... would subbing these in place of the 10n's (which arnt the same as .1uFs) work... im pretty sure that the 10N caps are input/output... so woulndt .1uF give me more fuzz (the more the merrier)????
Thanks

Ok first question;
Electrolytics will work, if they are in the signal path, + is the input and – is the out put.
In other places such as filtering and tone shaping the – would normally go to ground.
If your working with an old NPN GE fuzz with positive ground or any thing else using negative voltage, then the + would go to ground.
2nd question;
The larger cap values won't give you more fuss in the in/out positions.
They will however allow the circuit to pass lower frequencies do more bass.

So will .1uF give me too much bass or enough.. I want it really ballsy..

no such thing as too much bass.
Yup that should give it some balls.

so just to clarify....
using .1uf instead of 10N (.01uF) wont make it over the top??
im gonna put em in and if i dont like it... when my 10Ns come in the mail i swap em.
thanks guys
