DigiTech JamMan Express XT Looper Pedal, early review

I've already got one.
So far I like it. Function seems to be the same as the ditto looper. The box is bigger but is not crazy huge or anything. I have not had a ton of time with it yet, just enough to try it out and determine that yes, it would work for me and figure out how to get it on my board. Sound is great and it does not seem to deteriorate with overdubs. I've only gotten as far as 3 and at fairly low volume. My only issue with it is I keep nudging the volume knob, I'll probably swap that out for a smaller one or just take it off.

the reason I went with this as opposed to the ditto is I need the looping to occur after the gt10, so I have all the effects possible and applied to what is in the loop. because I use multiple amps and use the stereo outs on the Boss unit for this, I needed something with stereo and this is working great so far.

ONly other tidbit folks might not know about is that you can apparently slave multiple units together. Having only the one I cant comment on that though.
So thats my first impressions, Overall quite happy so far. If you all are interested I'll update this after I've had more time with it and maybe do a demo vid.

Sweet, thanks mate! When I get a stereo setup I'll maybe pick up one of these for my small board. Have you tried running it in a wet/dry setup yet, like with the looped signal from one amp and the 'overdub' or 'solo' part in the other? I wonder if that's as cool as I think it would be. Is the pedal analog dry-thru?

awesome I need to ditch the ditto for the jaman express xt for the stereo, after my reverb, but...
Im worried about the sound quality of the recorded loop: is it super crisp and as good as what was incoming or is it kinda digital and sucky sounding?

I'm in this club. Off'd my ditto. Play a stereo rig but haven't flexed on it yet.
If you guys have any questions ask. So far it's everything you want. It also boost the loop if need be, which I like

Got one from my Secret Santa
didn't get to do some serious work with it, because my board is missing my delays and that's a total turnoff for me for any serious looping and experimentation time

however, playing both this and the ditto, i prefer this, mainly because of the status LEDs

It's not the kind of delay you can do any serious magic with, but for simple and user-friendly looping, it sure works i'd say!
One downside i see right off the bat is that it takes quite a bit of power to run the thing
really looking forward to trying to use it with the band soon

that could be rad as heck, but i'll probably fail miserably

I spent an hour with one of these in a guitar store around Christmas. Really, really enjoyed it. I could definitely see myself using one of them, although I didn't try it with high gain fuzz

So an update, and an apology, I had not realized folks had responded to this. I still like it, but the one switch thing has made it problematic for me to use live. it also seems to cut some signal when tapping in the stop code. So I am now looking forward to the new improved ditto and may try that out when it's available. having a second switch would really help this thing out. It is a great songwriting tool and for those who are better tapdancers than I am might be perfect. My suggestion is you try it before you buy. Overall my problems with it are nitpicky and it seems to be quality for what it is.

Explain the signal cut please. I've experienced none other than when it's supposed to do so.

I use 3 amps in my rig, so the stereo function is essential to me. My signal is split after my gt-10, and then goes to the stereo ins on the Digi, then one to amp and one to a radial big shot. When holding down the switch on the jam man to ensure that the loop stops, one of the outs seems to cut out. So there is still sound, just a lot less.
