Silvertone reissues?

The originals weren't particularly well-made guitars anyways, so they can't be any worse. That's not to say that I don't like them, I've actually always wanted to find a beat-up 1449 to fuck around with.
if the same outfit is putting these out that put out the danelectro reissues then its hard to say. i've got some vintage silvertones and bought a reissue danelectro cause it was only a couple hundred. it turned out to be a piece of crap, quality control was horrible, the metal bridge was bowed, the pots needed to be replaced, poor fret job. it didn't feel as solid as my original either, the neck profile was smaller. i returned it. but then again it was only $200.K2000 wrote:Anybody know if these reissues are good guitars?

Reissuing Silvertones is sort of like reissuing shit on a shingle.

guess you've never been to a vintage guitar show. no need to hunt, you'll be tripping over them.
I think you're confused.Psyre wrote:Uncle Grandfather wrote:rfurtkamp wrote:Won't even have to hunt vintage shows for an original, they're still a staple of yard sales, thrift stores, and Craiglists.
