Is my EHX SMMH preset button broken?

Had the pedal for a while but never used the preset function before and decided to save my favorite setting (dat multi tap 
) and to my suprise pressing the Hazarai button down does nothing 
I read the manual from EHX.com and followed the instructions... am I missing something or is the switch just kaput?
