Mosrites are pretty expensive let alone hard to find in the the UK so does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
All I can think of is the Eastwood Sidejack which is a Univox clone (a clone of a clone!?), any thoughts?

What features of a Mosrite are you looking for in a guitar?

Aria has a new one on the cheap <$300, and there's a Dillion as well.

You tell me, Mudfuzz. Are there?
Maybe it's the neck?
Or the fact that they're well loved by church ladies?

I dislike church ladies for the most part and the necks are necks..
Still those tele-ish shaped ones with the buckers they made in the 70's had the thickest, chunkiest clean sounds I've ever come across

I hear consistently good things about the Hallmarks and have come close to buying them. I don't hear consistently good things about Eastwood.

There was one of these Harlem copies for sale at my local guitar center for $350 (used). Seemed like a nice guitar but probably doesn't help you much since they seem to be based out of Australia...
