Akai unibass alternatives?

I am looking for an effectspedal that can emulate me playing powerchords in the guitar range on top of my normal bass sound.. The Unibass came on my path while googleing, but it is very rare in the Netherlands.. So I thought there must be another interesting alternative? I don't care about a built in distortion by the way..
Does anyone have some creative ideas?

EHX Bass Synth??? They can do that... I'm sure you'll get some more ILF centric pedal votes too...

I have to sweep the dust of my Bass Synth I guess and give that a try..

But can it create the chords while I play single notes? I am not really into playing chords on the bass in the band I want to use this for..

That it does not. I misread your criteria.

check out the infanem analogue harmony synth:
Intervals available are:
Harmony 1: one octave down (-12 semitones), a perfect fifth shifted down one octave (-5 semitones), a perfect fourth (+5 semitones), a perfect fifth (+7 semitones), a major sixth (+9 semitones), and an octave up (+12 semitones)
Harmony 2: two octaves down (-24 semitones), one octave down (-12 semitones), a perfect fifth (+7 semitones), a major third shifted up one octave (+16 semitones), two octaves up (+24 semitones), and a perfect fifth shifted two octaves up (+31 semitones)
its pretty fucking awesome.
edit: forgot about the snazzy fx mini-ark:
It has the capability to take your guitar input, track it precisely, add an octave of your choice below or above, an interval of your choosing above (or below) and the capability to mix the two in any combination with the original signal or a dirty version of the original signal. This is huge. You can now create chords or thickened notes in thousands of combinations, all by changing the mix knobs and the position of the Interval and Octave selectors.
But that's just the beginning. In addition to the Octave and Interval sections, there is also an Infinite Hold section which allows you to stomp on a second switch and let the note go on and on and on and on.
While the sound is droning, there is an additional octave down effect that you can play on top of the continuous sound. Think of it this way - you could be playing a lead, the lead could be mimicked a 3rd above, and 3 octaves below, and then get mixed with a distorted version of the same guitar. Then, you could step on the infinite switch, and start playing the distorted guitar and an octave below on top of the already holding 3rd above and 2 octaves below. Its really something you have to hear in action.
this is just some of what it does.

The Fishman Fission was made for that.

I haven't used one though.

I have an Akai Unibass it and I replaced it with a Infanem Second Voice. I really like the sound I got with the Unibass but it doesn't really do a convincing guitar sound and the distortion on it is pretty shrill.

I had a Unibass and I sold it. The "guitar" output was artificial-sounding to me. I got rid of it. It might be good for the typical three piece where the guitar player solos, and the bass player fills in some rhythm parts during a short section. With all the other chaos happening, maybe the 'guitar' tone would seem acceptable.

Eventide pitch factor can definitely do it and it does it very well.

I also tried on and, although I wouldn't say it was turrible, I didn't really walk away wanting to buy one. There's probably cheaper choices.

You could try the new Totally Wycked Audio / Godlyke Great Divide 2.0 maybe?
Other than that the current Infanem Second Voice and Second Voice Deluxe probably do this as well.

Yeah, I listened to some demos.
I resend my suggestion.
I do second the Second Voice.
It helps me get my Lightning Bolt on.
